Forgiveness and Healing

Forgiveness is the scalpel God uses to heal wounded souls. When Jesus taught, "Forgive seventy times seven" (Matthew 18:22), He revealed liberation found in releasing others' debts. This doesn't excuse harm but frees us from toxic bitterness. Like the prodigal's father (Luke 15:20), God models radical forgiveness – embracing us despite our rebellion. Human forgiveness becomes possible when we grasp how much we've been forgiven (Ephesians 4:32). It's a process: acknowledging pain, choosing mercy daily, and trusting God's justice. Physical healing sometimes follows emotional release – many find chronic anxiety lifts when they forgive. Ultimately, forgiveness is worship – declaring God bigger than our hurts. As Corrie ten Boom forgave her Nazi captors, we discover Christ's strength making the impossible possible.

"For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart."
Hebrews 4:12
